"Dozens of communities in drought-stricken areas are scrapping public fireworks displays and cracking down on backyard pyrotechnics to reduce the risk of fires."
It's really dry here - I think we're in our 2nd year of drought. Fireworks are prohibited in Ardmore (just north of Harvest), but they still sell them!
Last New Year's Eve, our neighbor set off fireworks and almost burned his house down. His bermuda grass, however, never looked better.
