Roma madness

And there's more where these came from.

I love dried tomatoes (they're expensive if you buy them) so I halve them and dry them in the oven at 200 overnight. Of course, you can use a dehydrator, but I prefer the oven; more of a roasted quality.

See that cute little watermelon in the upper right-hand corner? He's mine, too; but more about melons later.

Some people take baby pictures; I show off my vegetables and fruits.

I want to do this. I'm very sad that this is the first year I didn't plant any tomatoes as I'm the only one in my family that likes them. Will it work with regular big, fat tomatoes if I go beg some off friends?

Yes, it will work - it will just take longer. Don't try it with huge tomatoes, though.

I went and bought some romas today. I'll do it officially:)
(any plans to come up to Cambridge soon? Or Salisbury...I guess they rank first in visiting order. We saw Thomas at Linnea's wedding. He looks great! This is Kate by the way, as in "Kate & Thom"I just realized you probably don't know my maiden name)

I will probably not be in that part of the world until Christmas. I tried to reach you the last time I was home, though - you're hard to find!
